A complex unique on a national scale of three historic wooden post mills, located in the western part of Osieczna in southern Greater Poland, near Leszno. The museum was established in 2012 on the initiative of the Jankowski family.
Osieczna lies in southern Greater Poland, about 8 km south-west of Leszno and about 60 km south of Poznań. This region (the area around Osieczna, Śmigiel and Leszno) is the area with the greatest concentration of preserved windmills in Greater Poland.
In the past, more than a dozen windmills stood on the site of today's museum. Three wooden post mills have survived to this day, which are the museum's most valuable exhibits (the oldest dated to 1761). It is the only preserved complex in Poland of so many wooden post mills standing next to one another. The windmills can be visited inside.
An attraction for families, enthusiasts of technology, ethnography and the history of agriculture; school trips are also organised.
