Ethnographic Park in Tokarnia (Kielce Village Museum)

An open-air museum located in a picturesque bend of the Czarna Nida river, about 20 km from Kielce along road no. 7. The park covers about 65 hectares and is divided into sectors (including the Świętokrzyski, upland, manor-farm, loess and riverside sectors). The Kielce Village Museum was established in 1976.

Windmills and mills

The open-air museum presents various types of windmills, including a smock (Dutch-type) windmill from Grzymałków (1931) - octagonal, tower-type, with a rotating cap - and a windmill from Janik, considered the oldest surviving windmill in the Kielce region. On the grounds there are also wooden watermills on stone foundations, among others on the Czarna Nida.
