Museum of Milling in Jaracz

A branch of the National Museum of Agriculture and Agri-Food Industry in Szreniawa, founded in 1981 on the Wełna River, on the grounds of a former mill settlement. It presents the history of milling and grain processing.

The mill settlement complex

  • A water mill from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries with a system of canals.
  • Two windmills: an 18th-century post mill and a turbine windmill.
  • A mill stable and the miller's house from the 19th century.

Education

The 'From a grain to a loaf' classes for children.

  • Winter season (2 Nov - 31 Mar): Tue-Fri 9:00-15:00, Sat-Sun 11:00-15:00.
  • Summer season (2 Apr - 31 Oct): Tue-Sat 9:00-16:00, Sun 11:00-17:00.

Getting there

About 40 km from Poznań along road no. 11 towards Piła, on the eastern edge of the Noteć Forest, by the Wełna River.
