Post windmill in Solca Wielka

A wooden historic post windmill from the mid-18th century in the village of Solca Wielka (Ozorków commune). Until 1910 it stood in the fields of Borszyn as the property of the manor farm in Tkaczew, and in 1911 it was relocated to Solca Wielka.

Condition and conservation

  • Out of use during World War II; it operated again in 1945-1949.
  • Entered in the register of monuments of the Łódź Voivodeship; privately owned - undergoing a general renovation since 2010.
  • The only preserved object of this type within the Łódź agglomeration.
