The EC1 Science and Technology Centre is housed in a revitalised former Łódź power plant (Power Plant and Combined Heat and Power Plant No. 1). The name EC1 refers to the historic designation of the site. The centre opened on 7 January 2018.
The site was created on the basis of a historic power plant. By preserving part of the plant's old installations and equipment and combining them with modern forms of presentation, the centre offers the opportunity to learn about the processes of energy conversion.
Three educational trails: the energy trail (with preserved power plant equipment), the trail of the history of civilisation and science, and Microworld-Macroworld, as well as a section devoted to human presence in space and a spherical cinema.
An attraction for families, schools and lovers of science and technology.
Tuesday-Friday 9:00-19:00, Saturday and Sunday 10:00-20:00 (to be verified on the website).
